Schedule & Progress for January/February 2010

St Marylebone High Street

 

Internal works in progress including:

  • Phase 11 - M&E and architectural works ongoing
  • Finishes (painting, flooring, various making good)
    Waterproofing works

External works in progress including:

  • Louvers installation 
  • Asphalt repairs 
  • Masonry

Progress for October - December 2009

St Marylebone High Street

The school will have refurbished:

  • Science laboratories and science preparation room on two floors
  • Classrooms for general teaching and Modern Foreign Language

Handover and Progress on Current Phases:

  • Blocks B & C (2nd & 3rd floors as per programme) have been handed over to the school.
  • Phases 10 and 12 started on 17th July 2009 and are in good progress. 
  • A handover is due for the end of the year and will mark the completion of refurbishment in both Block B (yellow brick building) and Block C (1960s building).
  • The next and final phase internally will be phase 11 in Block A: Ground floor and lower ground floor.  This is due to start in December 2009 and to handover in April 2010.
  • Reinstatement and resurfacing works - the external works in the courtyard are due for summer 2010.

September 2009

St Marylebone Blandford Street / St Vincent's RC Primary School

Both refurbishment of the convent building and completion of the new building were completed on 7th September 2009, ready for the new school term.  The programme has been accelerated and both buildings, the new build and the refurbishment have been handed back to the school ahead of schedule.

The St Marylebone School has gained a new building with facilities such as:

  • D&T
  • Food technology department
  • Art rooms
  • ICT classrooms/department
  • Science department
  • A new assembly hall with a triple height curtain wall and a view of the church
  • The refurbishment will provide additional classrooms, a staffroom, welfare facilities.

Original phasing: New build construction followed by refurbishment.

  • Start - January 2008
  • End - July 2010

Revised phasing: New build and refurbishment

  • Start - January 2008 + refurb in May 2009
  • End - September 2009
