From day one Bouygues UK is committed to involving and giving back to the local communities. Relying on our previous successful initiatives developed for Jo Richardson Community School and Eastbury Comprehensive School, here is more information on the initiative we are developing on St Marylebone School:

Generally the impact of a contract such as ours on the local community is too often overlooked and conversely the complexity and difficulties of our works are too often little understood. To improve this, as part of the construction process, we have involved both school and community as witnesses to the various stages by way of a weekly "surgery" for local community representatives and by involvement and instruction of the pupils in the construction processes.

Site visits for pupils are an important part of these involvement processes. They allow for ongoing participation and create the opportunity for potential vocational development within the industry.
